Both types of LED Strips can be non waterproof, waterproof or water resistant, depending on the conditions they will be used in.
The non waterproof LED Strips can be used indoors in rooms with normal humidity levels.
The waterproof LED Strips can be used outdoors as well as inside in places with a high humidity level but no direct contact with water.
The water resistant LED strips can be used in places with direct contact with water, but only according to the instructions given by the producer.
